Shnorhali school celebrates the day of knowledge and education
On Sunday, August 24th, Shnorhali Armenian School joyfully celebrated the traditional Day of Knowledge and Education, marking the official start of the new academic year. The corridors and classrooms of Shnorhali School once again came alive with the joyful sounds of laughter, curiosity, and anticipation. It was a day of celebration, marking not only the official opening of the new academic year, but also the renewed commitment of our school community to faith, culture, and learning.

A highlight of the day was when all students gathered in Patarag to receive Holy Communion, hear the inspiring sermon of our Pastor, and be blessed as they embarked on a new academic journey. This spiritual moment reminded us that education at Shnorhali is not only about knowledge, but also about nurturing faith and values that will guide our students throughout their lives.
We were thrilled to welcome back our returning families and to welcome the many new families joining Shnorhali for the first time.
The youngest members of our community, our kindergarten students, began their day with creativity and joy, engaging in art, music, and hands-on activities designed to spark imagination and a love of learning.
The day concluded with a parents’ meeting, where the school administration provided a detailed overview of the educational program, a look into the structure of the academic day, as well as the expectations of both students and families.
Parents also received important updates on school finances and learned about the new three-tier kindergarten model, a significant step toward enhancing early education at Shnorhali.

The administration warmly congratulates all of our students and families on the start of this new academic year. With God’s blessing, we look forward to another successful and enriching year filled with knowledge, growth, and new adventures.
Meanwhile, students in grades 1 – 8 completed placement assessments to ensure they are guided into classrooms that will best support their growth and academic success.
